The Shetland Sheepdog is from the Shetland Islands. It did herding.
Shetland Sheepdogs are 12-15 inches tall. They can come in sable, tricolor, black with white or tan, and blue merle. They are sensitive, easy to train, shy, and alert. They are good watchdogs and need a lot of exercise.
Problems Shetland Sheepdogs can get are progressive retinal atorphy, cataracts, skin and liver problems, and they can be deaf. Other things to watch out for is their barking, and their sensitiveness.
Shetland Sheepdogs can do well in an apartment or a home but will need lots of exercise like as it’s said above.

The Bernese Mountain dog herded cattle, pulled carts, rescued and guarded in the past. It is also known as the Bernese Sennenhund.
Bernese Mountain dogs come in black with chestnut and white markings. They are easy to train, gentle, and they like children. They are really good watchdogs. Their height can be up to 23-28 inches.
Bernese Mountain dogs can have problems adjusting to a new owner after they are so old. For health problems they can have hip and elbow dysplasia along with eye problems.
Bernese Mountain dogs can do good in a regular home. They also need daily brushing because of their coat. When shedding, their fur might need extra care.
A picture of an adult Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Rhodesian Ridgeback’s come from South Africa. They have been used to hunt large game. Their name came about because on their back they have dagger shape fur.

Rhodesian Ridgeback’s are loyal, gentle and a really good watchdog. Also they are easy to train but the training needs to be gentle and early. They can be aggressive. They need a lot of exercise. They can also get used to regular exercise patterns. Make sure you don’t over feed them.
Rhodesian Ridgeback’s don’t have that many health problems although they can get hip dysplasia.
